Ramadan 2020 In Corona Virus Time
We have really not a good time in all over the world, coronavirus change everything and all the plans for the world COVID-19
One of the 5 pillars of Islam is Lent: Ramadan, the 9th month in the lunar calendar. Due to the lunar cycle, it shifts forward by 11 days each year. Muslims around the world comply with this. In Sura 2 verse 83, the Kuran asks for Lent.
The other pillars are alms, daily prayer, the creed, and the pilgrimage to Mecca.
During Lent it is about self-discipline, dealing with your relationship to faith and rethinking your behavior, the function of Ramadan is also that you learn to forgive yourself, your fellow human beings, and of course,
sharing, such as giving alms, which is 2.5% and the most important thing is to share and eat the food together.
At that time I worked in the restaurant, also during the fat diet, and was constantly surrounded by food.
Back then, my colleagues, some of whom were also Muslims, accepted, and even received support from my boss. We distributed a lot of food to poor people. Breaking the fast at work was always an enjoyable and positive event as we all ate and drank together.

The non-Muslim friends and acquaintances usually behaved very respectfully towards the fasting and were helpful and courteous in everyday life.

You are not allowed to eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. During this time, you return to yourself, think about your behavior and habits such as smoking or insulting anyone, and turn to yourself and God and avoid unnecessary luxury.
As soon as it gets dark you can eat, the most beautiful and delicious prices are prepared and served. In the tradition of the Prophet Mohamed, fasting is broken with dates and a sip of water.

In summer this can sometimes be quite exhausting but with a lot of discipline and love for God, the hours and days pass quite well.
Being with family and friends is particularly enjoyed during Ramadan and is an important point.
As a reward after Ramadan, there is a 3-day festival, which we also call the sugar festival. The end of Ramadan is the most important and joyful Islamic festival.
There everyone gets together again, eating, laughing, and spending a good time together.

We pray to Allah to take off that Corona away from us and all the world
